RoSPA – The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents
RoSPA is a not-for-profit organisation that has worked for more than 100 years to help people recognise and reduce their risk of accidents, at home, on the road, at work and at leisure. They provide training, consultancy, qualifications, events and products for businesses and professionals to help us manage risks to our employees and others. Accidents are still too often dismissed as inevitable, but there is so much that we can do to stop them from happening.
Brandon Hire Station are pleased to be RoSPA Gold award winners, in both the Health & Safety Achievement Awards and Fleet Safety Awards. A most sought after accolade by organisations from every sector. The RoSPA Awards received nearly 2,000 entries from 49 countries, confirming it as the most prestigious and recognised health and safety awards scheme in the world. These achievements are awarded based on our company’s health & safety performance, policies and procedures, excellent fleet management and occupational road risk. The award helps us benchmark our safety performance year on year, gets our business inspired to drive change and continually improve our company’s health and safety. Achieving the Gold award also helps to promote our business to help win tenders and new clients, assuring them that health and safety is top priority in Brandon Hire Station.
Through our Safety Guardian initiative, adopted in every branch, daily and weekly safety checks are completed and recorded electronically on our Health & Safety info exchange platform, known as Vp Capture. Hazards and near misses are recorded by employees that then assist us with leading and lagging indicators.

Our internal branch audits carried out by our Compliance Team also pay a key part in hazard spotting and ensuring policies and procedures are followed and documented, to help us achieve these awards and other accreditations.
